Celebrating Victoria’s long history of circus, the 12 hour line up of circus entertainment features internationally acclaimed Circus Oz and the socially engaged Women’s Circus who join the young stars of the future and the new crop of artists from the National Institute of Circus Arts (NICA), along with artists from touring and community circuses and allied artists for 12 exhilarating hours of gravity defying acrobatics, heart-stopping aerials and breathtaking feats of physicality, strength and daring.
More than 160 years after American John Sullivan Noble first brought his Olympic Circus to Melbourne, Victoria’s leading practitioners of 21st century circus converge on the state’s iconic world heritage listed Carlton Gardens for a contemporary re-imagining of the greatest show on earth.

A graduate of Bathurst’s innovative Theatre/Media course Mike Finch joined Circus Oz as Artistic Director at just 27 years old. After 17 years at the helm of one of the country’s major performing arts organisation – having built a significant international reputation – Mike has recently moved on from Circus Oz and now works independently within the Circus arena.
Founding Showtech in Australia in 1987, Tim (Tiny) Good is one of the foremost leaders in the entertainment industry worldwide. From small beginnings in the theatre, circus and film/TV industry, Showetch Australia has grown to be a leader in rigging, flying effecr, staging and uncommon services, from small or large community productions to large scale major events. Tiny and his team are no strangers to White Night Melbourne.
Andrew Gill has a career spanning more than 25 years immersed in events of all nature. A beginning in performance, event production and direction, this Melbourne based name has worked fro some of the most recognisable global and Australian brands. With a deep understanding of what works for any given audience, Andrew is the consummate MC, facilitator and host that Circus Circus demands.
