Each summer, the MSO performs four full-length classical concerts, in the Sidney Myer Free Concerts, presented in association with the University of Melbourne. These events bring great classics and great artists together in Australia's favourite outdoor space for music, the Sidney Myer Music Bowl.

In this showcase of all-Australian talent, one of Australia's most vibrant conductors, Benjamin Northey, is joined by violinist Kristian Winther and soprano Siobhan Stagg. The program features Mozart's La clemenza di Tito Overture, Mozart's Violin Concerto No.3 and Mahler's Symphony No.4.
